Privacy Notice for California Residents
California Consumer Privacy Act
California residents have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) to receive notice of the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which those categories of personal information will be used, and how we determine the length of time for which the personal information is maintained. You are also entitled to receive notice regarding how we disclose personal information and your rights under the CCPA.
Categories of personal information collected. We collect and use the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers; contact and payment information; characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law (such as demographic information like age and gender); sensitive information; commercial information; internet or other electronic network activity information; and audio, electronic or visual information.
Categories of sources of personal information collected. We collect the personal information described above from the following sources:
Directly from you
Automatically from your devices when you interact with us or our services or connect to our system
Your company, broker, or host
Parties such as our landlords, building managers, licensees and property brokers
Other sources, including data brokers or information providers
Purposes of collection. We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes:
Provide you with our products and Services, including online and offline events, and other materials you request
Protect against fraud, abuse, or harm and to otherwise provide a secure environment
Respond to or fulfill customer service requests
Analyze, better tailor, and improve our products and Services
Contact you about our Services, promotions, and sweepstakes, tailor and provide you with relevant advertising, enhance your engagement with us, and otherwise communicate with you through various means, which may include by email, telephone, post, or by other means as communicated to you from time to time
Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our legal rights, such as, among other things, to exercise contractual rights, to comply with financial reporting obligations, court orders, warrants, or subpoenas in accordance with applicable law
Retention. We retain the personal information we receive for as long as you use our Services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable laws.
We utilize the following criteria to determine the length of time for which we retain personal information once the purpose of processing the personal information has been satisfied:
The business purposes for which the information is used, and the length of time for which the information is required to achieve those purposes
Whether we are required to retain the information, or the information is otherwise necessary, in order to comply with legal obligations or contractual commitments, defend against potential legal claims, detect or prevent potential illegal activity or actions in violation of our policies and procedures, secure our systems and online environment, or protect health and safety
The privacy impact on individuals of ongoing retention
The manner in which information is maintained and flows through our systems, and how best to manage the lifecycle of information in light of the volume and complexity of the systems in our infrastructure
Disclosure of Personal Information. We disclose the categories of personal information described above for business and commercial purposes to the following categories of parties: within the WeWork companies and our community; to primary members, landlords and building management, licensees, service providers; and to other parties pursuant to the terms of your membership agreement and as needed to comply with legal process or protect our services.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information. We "sell" or "share" (as defined under California law) the following categories of personal information to advertising, marketing and analytics providers:

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing of Personal Information. You have the right to opt out of future sales or sharing of personal information. You can exercise this right by clicking Your Privacy Choices.
Right to Know, Correct, and Request Deletion. You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, and sell, as well as the right to request that we delete certain personal information that we have collected from you. If we hold personal information that is not accurate, you have the right to request that we correct this information.
You or your authorized agent may submit a request to exercise your rights by completing our Privacy Webform or by calling 1-888-914-9661 pin: 767325. For your security and to ensure unauthorized third parties do not access your personal information, we will require you to verify your identity before we can act on your request. For requests to correct inaccurate information, we may ask you to provide documentation that demonstrates why or how the existing information is inaccurate. Before accepting a request from an authorized agent, we will require the agent to provide proof you have authorized it to act on your behalf, and we may need you to verify your identity directly with us or confirm that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information that relates to you.
Right to Restrict Use of Sensitive Personal Information. You have the right to request that a business limit its processing of sensitive personal information under certain circumstances. You can exercise your right by completing our Privacy Webform or by calling 1-888-914-9661 pin: 767325.
Right to Non-Discrimination. You have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights.
